 Welcome to Magnolia Beach Vacations Magnolia Vacation provides three homes minutes away from beautiful Magnolia Beach where Birding, Fishing, Shelling and just "plain old relaxing" are all welcome! The homes come fully furnished with clean sheets on the beds, pots and pans for cooking, linen, central A/C and heat, and TV/VCR/DVD with movies, books, magazines, as well as many other conveniences of home. We have often been described as "just like staying in some one's home while they are away" That is because the owners often stay at the homes when they are not rented!
Centrally located between Port O'Connor and Port Lavaca, the quaint village of Magnolia Beach is an "undiscovered" treasure of the Texas Gulf Coast. This small village offers peace and relaxation as well as some of the best bird watching, dolphin watching, shelling and fishing on the entire coast! Also nearby is a spot for crabbing to catch a meal fit for a king! Truly a fun place for the entire family! For the adventurous, a short drive away are gambling boats.
For the fisherman, there is a public boat launch site and a small, but
public fishing pier. Additionally, there is excellent shore fishing from
the pristine beach and/or the back bay. A newly renovated Marina has opened in neighboring Indianola
and sells bait, books fishing charters and features down-home food.
For the bird enthusiasts, Magnolia Beach is one of the premier bird watching
spots in the entire nation! According to the National Audubon Society,
for the past 3 years, it has the highest bird count in the United States
in the spring count. In addition, there is a self-guided walking tour
for birders.
The recently completed 8 mile long Million Dollar public beach project
is a great place to find shells or just enjoy the sun and surf. Covered
picnic shelters are provided for your convenience with charcoal grills,
a playground for the children and for the sports-minded a volley-ball
court. There are areas where you can drive on the beach, park and enjoy
the waves or fish to your heart's content.
Indianola is just moments away and awash in historic sites. It was one
of the two places where the German Immigrants landed when coming to settle
in Texas. Indianola rivaled Galveston in tonnage of cargo landed during
the mid 1800's. Along Beach Drive is a ribbon of signs listing information
about the local history of the area.
